West Suburban Rock Project Music Camp

Plug In, Turn Up and ROCK OUT!

The West Suburban Rock Project is a BRAND NEW camp designed to give young musicians ages 10 to 17 the opportunity to experience an exciting two-week excursion into the life of a professional musician. This camp is a perfect way for musicians to form a band while bringing their skills and love for music to a whole other level!

Located in our state-of-the-art Music/Recording Studio, campers participate daily in group rehearsals, individual instruction and a wide variety of both classes and activities to develop music skills – such as writing and arranging as a group. Campers will also be able to explore the art of songwriting in our afternoon songwriting workshop where fresh new concepts of harmony, melody and rhythm will be explored. Other activities such as free swim, open track/turf and open gym will give campers time throughout the day to enjoy the facilities here at the Y.

Throughout each session, students will get to go “on tour”, have their own recording sessions and a final showcase concert! The tour includes an acoustic show at Camp Chickami as well as an overnight trip and live concert at Camp Frank A. Day.
