I am glad that you could stop by. Welcome to our new and improved Web site. We hope that you find everything that you are looking for here.
We’ve been in existence since 1877 and opened the building on 276 Church Street in 1911. Since that time we have continued to expand our facilities to where we are today. We now boast of over 7,000 members ranging in age from six months to 90 years old. We have over 100 programs which run six times a year and over 50 free group exercise classes per week. We serve the communities of Newton, Weston, Wellesley, Watertown and Belmont and no one is ever turned down for inability to pay.
We have an incredible Y staff and I would encourage you to stop by and meet the staff members, take a tour and see what we have to offer. Our strong staff makes the effort to fulfill our mission of building strong kids, strong families and strong communities. While you are here meet the director from our new Live Y’ers Preschool; chat with our Fitness Director about our new Youth Fitness and Family Wellness Centers; check out our new 10,000 square foot gymnasium or find out more information regarding our summer camps.
Yes, I may sound like I am boasting but that is because I am. I have watched these facilities expand tremendously in the two years that I have been the President and CEO and I plan to see continued growth.
