About the YMCA

The West Suburban YMCA was established in 1877 and our building on 276 Church Street opened in 1911. We have continued to expand our facilities and add new programs to stay current with the needs of our community. In the 1980s, we expanded our service area beyond Newton to include Weston, Wellesley, Watertown and Belmont.

We now have over 7,500 members of all ages and over 100 programs. We have six summer camps. Camp Frank A. Day, our residential camp in East Brookfield, MA, and our day camps, Camp Chickami in Wayland, Camp Pikati and Sports Camps, Camp Polliwog, Polliwog Creative Arts Camp and Tiny Tadpoles all right here at 276 Church Street.

We also have an incredible staff that works hard to make everyone that enters our doors part of our YMCA family.

We hope you find everything that you are looking for here at the West Suburban YMCA. If not, let us know what we're missing.
