Volunteer at the Y

Volunteering is a great way to give back to your community, and we have fun and meaningful opportunities for you to volunteer*!

Coach or mentor in one our youth & teen programs or camps, teach swim lessons, help our maintenance department to beautify the Y, or if you prefer administrative work, then we have plenty of departments that need your help.

We also need friendly volunteers at the front desk to greet members and guests, give facility tours to prosepective members and to answer the phone.

Or, if you have a specific skill you would like to share, let us know and we will work with you.

*Prior to volunteering at the West Suburban YMCA, we require each applicant to undergo Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) and Sex Offender Registry Information (SORI) inquiries

the West Suburban YMCA is a charitable organization?

When you give to our Y, you nurture the potential of children and teens, improve the community’s health and well-being, and support your neighbors. Every day, we work to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive. Your gift to our Y will have an enduring, meaningful impact right in your own community.
