West Suburban YMCA'S Offers Lecture Series to

Pump Up Financial Literacy

The West Suburban YMCA has teamed with local financial specialists to offer a financial literacy series throughout the upcoming months. Held on Wednesdays from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm in the YMCA's Wellness Center, these lectures offer insight into the housing market, interest rates, and financing.

The first of these lectures, held on Wednesday, March 19, 2008, will focus on college planning. Maximizing high school in preparation for college, creating a proactive college search, and funding college will be discussed in detail. Guest speaker, Nancy Parchesky has 25 years of experience in higher education as Assistant Director of Admissions for Bryant College and Dean College; served as Academic Advisor at Community College of Rhode Island and is also the founder of Personal College Advising.

Upcoming lectures will highlight the process of buying a new home, estate and retirement planning, and protecting the future of one's family and self. Participants will also receive a complementary credit report and identity check.
