Our Y

The West Suburban YMCA was established in 1877 and our building on 276 Church Street opened in 1911. We have continued to expand our facilities and add new programs to stay current with the needs of our community. In the 1980s, we expanded our service area beyond Newton to include Weston, Wellesley, Watertown and Belmont.

We now have over 7,500 members of all ages and over 100 programs. We have six summer camps. Camp Frank A. Day, our residential camp in East Brookfield, MA, and our day camps, Camp Chickami in Wayland, Camp Pikati and Sports Camps, Camp Polliwog, Polliwog Creative Arts Camp and Tiny Tadpoles all right here at 276 Church Street.

We also have an incredible staff that works hard to make everyone that enters our doors part of our Y family.

We hope you find everything that you are looking for here at the West Suburban YMCA. If not, let us know what we're missing.

the West Suburban YMCA is a charitable organization?

When you give to our Y, you nurture the potential of children and teens, improve the community’s health and well-being, and support your neighbors. Every day, we work to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive. Your gift to our Y will have an enduring, meaningful impact right in your own community.
