Blue Waves Swim Team

Welcome to the West Suburban YMCA Blue Waves Swim Team!

The Blue Waves Swim Team are a part of the Eastern Massachusetts YMCA Swim League Division II and also attend USA Swimming Meets in the New England LSC. We are a year-round progressive age group program and provide competitive swimmers from intermediate to advanced with the change to challenge themselves, grow physically and mentally and participate in a positive team atmosphere. Our team is structured around the YMCA core values of Honesty, Caring, Respect, and Responsibility.

Our coaches are dedicated to providing appropriate workouts, qualified coaches, and the opportunity for swimmers of all skill levels to achieve their highest potential.

Our team is currently lead by Head Coach, Christina Pansini and was founded in 2002, by former coaches Katie (Behrens) Kotch and Lindsay Stephenson.

Mission Statement:

The West Suburban YMCA, located in Newton, Massachusetts, is a nonprofit community service organization made possible because of charitable donations, member support, and dedicated volunteers and staff. The YMCA is devoted to the education, physical health, mental well-being and moral development of children, families, and communities and is committed to this simple policy: Nobody will be turned away from our programs and facilities due to an inability to pay.
