About Camp Frank A. Day
Are your children ready to really spread their wings? Do they want a wide range of challenging activities? An opportunity to live-and grow-with other kids?
Camp Frank A. Day is for them! Camp Frank A. Day is our resident camp in East Brookfield, MA. Located on 52 acres on beautiful Lake Quacumquasit, Camp Frank A. Day has been serving boys and girls seven to 15 years old for more than 80 years.
In addition to 1,000 feet of shoreline, Camp Day has a large dining hall, an arts and crafts center, basketball and tennis courts, athletic fields and various other facilities.
The Attention Is Personal
Camp Day has over 70 staff members which means that our staff can give each child plenty of attention. We ease the transition from home to camp for the first-timer and make sure that everyone is exposed to many activities. We help children who are interested or gifted in an activity to advance their skills.
There is one staff member for every three of our youngest campers, one for every four campers in the middle age groups, and one for every seven years or older campers.
The majority of our staff members are college age or older who all receive training prior to the start of camp.
Director emiritus, Dick McKnight, has been with Camp Day for over 40 years, starting as a camper. His co-director emeritus, Sonya McKnight, has been involved with Camp Frank A. Day for 28 years. Both are educators during the academic year, as are most of our staff members.
In addition to 1,000 feet of shoreline, we have a large dining hall, an arts and crafts center, basketball and tennis courts, athletic fields and various other facilities.
