Information for Campers
You are visiting this page because either you are SO excited that you are already signed up to be a part of the fun this coming summer at Camp Day or because your parents are forcing you to attend overnight camp this summer. The good news is Camp Frank A. Day represents your ticket to friendships, fun, and freedom (from your parents) this summer! Here are some things to help get you and keep you excited about this summer:
Fun Things You Can Do at Camp
All campers will participate in:
- soccer
- basketball
- sand volleyball
- softball or kickball
- swim lessons
Each week you also get to choose some of these activities to participate in for a whole week or just a day:
- waterskiing
- climbing tower
- arts & crafts
- archery
- sailing
- horseback riding
- drama
- fishing
- music
- tennis
- cooking
- snorkeling

That's not all though! We sing wacky songs, celebrate fun days (like Halloween in the middle of the summer or Game Show Network), have a miniature golf course that is themed to an old camp story about "Crazy Dan" and SO MUCH MORE! We can't give away all the good stuff on the website!

Traditions
Plaque Races- This is a big deal! If your team wins the plaque race, then your name is put on a wooden plaque and hung in the dining hall forever. The winners are the team from each unit that earn the most points out of all of the athletic competitions at camp.
Themed Dances- Camp isn't camp without dances! Every dance has a theme, like 80s Night, Halloween, or something fun. Don't worry if you don't like to dance because there are also fun thing such as limbo that we do during the dance.
Field Trips- Each session we take a trip out of camp to someplace really cool. In the past, we have gone tubing on a river, climbing a mountain and to Six Flags! The staff keep the field trip a secret until check-in day.
Color War- Everyone is assigned to either the green team or the gray team, and you compete in wacky events, relays and a song and cheer contest to earn points for your team. It is so awesome!
Camp Song
Camp Frank A. Day even has its own song. You can practice singing it before you come. It is sung to the tune of Cornell University Alma Mater--Far Above Cayuga's Waters. Ask your parents, they might know it. Otherwise, anyone that has been a camper at Camp Day will know it!
On the shores of Quacumquasitt
Deep among the pines
Stands a camp in all its glory
For most of its kind
Cheers for Camp Day
Cheers for Camp Day
Hail to Green and Gray
Hail to thee of best of all camps
Hail to Frank A. Day!
