Camp Polliwog

All sessions will be held in the Little Y'ers Preschool on the first floor.
Located at the West Suburban YMCA, Camp Polliwog is the perfect introduction to camp for young children! Each session allows campers to experience day camp in an intimate setting which combines small group projects with large group special activities and exciting camp adventures.
At Camp Polliwog, your child will explore developmentally appropriate toys and games, engage in daily swim lessons, participate in active indoor and outdoor games, and express themselves through creative art projects and activities. With a maximum of 20 campers in Polliwog I and 30 campers in Polliwog II, we are able to provide a personal camp experience for each child.
Our counselors are loving child care professionals who are delighted to engage in the camp experience with young children. We maintain a ratio of one staff person to every five children in our Polliwog I room (ages 3 ½ to 5) and also in our Polliwog II room (ages 5 to 6 ½).
Camp Polliwog activities for Summer 2008 will include: soccer, kickball, parachute games, puppet shows, sensory activities, visual art, music, block construction, nature activities, science experiments, swim lessons, recreational swimming, walking field trips, playground activities, track and field, read-alouds, group storytelling, quiet games, and creative movement.
